Come celebrate Earth Day and the Year of the Senior while we transform under-utilized lawn into a vibrant new garden!
Join Daily Acts and the residents at Charles Street Village as we revitalize raised beds, install drip irrigation and create a new herb garden that will improve health and build community! With an on-site commercial kitchen ready to host healthy cooking classes for it’s seniors, this location is primed for a big change.
Through the transformation of the lawn and regeneration of the raised beds at Charles Street Village, we are collectively addressing food access security and improving water conservation practices onsite through the integration of water-wise edible plants and drip irrigation. Saving water, growing food and building community are just a few of the significant pillars tied to the Community Resilience Challenge action campaign, so come be inspired and take action!
